The Andhra Pradesh Government has intensified its efforts to develop Riverfront Tourism in Amaravati as part of its vision to transform the capital city into a world-class tourism and lifestyle destination.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana on Friday reviewed the progress of proposed tourism projects with officials of the Amaravati Development Corporation Limited (ADCL) at the State Secretariat in Amaravati. The meeting was attended by ADCL Chairperson Lakshmi Parthasarathi and senior officials.

During the review, officials discussed the development of an Amusement Park and an Eco Tourism Park, both of which are proposed to be developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The Minister directed officials to ensure that tourism infrastructure is developed in parallel with the ongoing construction of roads, government buildings, and other key infrastructure in Amaravati. He emphasized that tourism projects should be completed alongside the city's core infrastructure to create an integrated urban experience.

Referring to the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Narayana instructed officials to accelerate projects that would attract domestic and international tourists. He also directed officials to ensure that companies already allotted land for tourism projects commence construction without delay.

The government believes that riverfront tourism, recreational parks, and eco-tourism attractions will significantly enhance Amaravati's appeal as a modern capital city while generating employment, attracting private investment, and boosting the local economy.

With infrastructure development progressing rapidly, Amaravati is expected to emerge as one of India's leading urban tourism destinations in the coming years.
