Amaravati: Delhi-based Knots Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. has expressed interest in establishing a Flight Training Organisation (FTO) in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of ₹100 crore over the next five years.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Investment & Infrastructure Minister BC Janardhan Reddyand Athiraj Singh Chawla, representative of Knots Aerospace, at the State Secretariat.
According to the company, the proposed Flight Training Organisation could be established at either Nagarjuna Sagar Airport or Kurnool Airport, depending on feasibility and infrastructure availability.
The company plans to create approximately 100 direct employment opportunities while developing a comprehensive pilot training ecosystem in the state.
Knots Aerospace, which has experience in providing domestic and international pilot training programs, also announced plans to expand its fleet of training aircraft from 6 to 20 within five years, significantly enhancing its training capacity.
Minister BC Janardhan Reddy welcomed the proposal and stated that the Andhra Pradesh Government is committed to promoting investments in the aviation sector. He assured the company of full government support once a detailed project proposal is submitted.
