CM Chandrababu Naidu Directs Faster Execution of Amaravati Capital Projects

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials and construction agencies to significantly speed up the execution of Amaravati capital city projects and ensure that all works are completed within the scheduled timelines.

During a review meeting held at the Secretariat with representatives of construction companies, ministers, senior officials, and contractors, the Chief Minister stressed that speed, quality, and timely delivery should remain the key objectives of every project.

Naidu noted that while the pace of construction has improved compared to earlier, it needs to be accelerated further. He assured construction agencies that the government has addressed financial requirements and emphasized that there should be no delays in project execution.

Currently, development works worth ₹50,999 crore are underway across 95 projects in Amaravati. The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure a minimum monthly progress of 7.92 percent to meet the planned completion schedule.

He also directed all departments to work in close coordination on land acquisition, fund mobilization, project approvals, and design clearances to avoid administrative delays.

Highlighting the broader vision for the capital region, the Chief Minister said Amaravati should be developed as an integrated metropolitan area along with Vijayawada and Guntur rather than being viewed as only the 29 capital villages. He also stressed the importance of expanding road infrastructure while increasing greenery and environmental sustainability.

Naidu announced that he would personally monitor the progress of Amaravati construction works to ensure timely completion. Minister P. Narayana, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand Sai Prasad, senior officials, and representatives of construction agencies attended the review meeting.
