Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Inaugurates New Terminal at Gannavaram International Airport

Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh: Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the newly constructed terminal building at Gannavaram International Airport, marking a significant milestone in the modernization of aviation infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking after the inauguration, the Minister said the terminal project gained significant momentum following the formation of the present government and has now been completed to enhance passenger convenience and operational efficiency.

He urged travelers to make full use of the airport's expanding services and reaffirmed the Centre's commitment to strengthening air connectivity in the state.

The Minister announced that efforts are underway to expand international flight connectivity from Gannavaram by introducing improved international air services. The move is expected to improve access for business travelers, tourists, and the Andhra Pradesh diaspora.

As part of the airport's infrastructure upgrade, a new Air Traffic Control (ATC) building has also been completed at a cost of ₹77 crore. The new ATC facility is expected to significantly enhance operational safety, air traffic management, and the airport's handling capacity.

With the inauguration of the new terminal and commissioning of the ATC building, Gannavaram International Airport is expected to play a greater role in supporting regional economic growth, tourism, and business connectivity while offering passengers a more modern and efficient travel experience.
