Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh: The long-awaited Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram is set to be dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 1, marking a significant milestone in the development of aviation infrastructure in North Andhra Pradesh.
Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, senior state leaders and officials reviewed the arrangements at the airport to ensure the inauguration is conducted smoothly.
Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, MLA Lokam Nagamadhavi, District Collector S. Ramsunder Reddy, SP A.R. Damodar, and other officials inspected preparations related to parking, security, protocol, and visitor management.
Officials are also making elaborate arrangements to welcome the Prime Minister and guests with traditional North Andhra folk performances, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
During the review, ministers instructed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the inaugural event.
The inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity, boost tourism, facilitate trade and investment, and accelerate the economic development of North Andhra Pradesh.
